Func- tions involved in these fields includ- ed sales promotions, operations, and marketing research. D.E.C.A. was the only youth organization in America that had as its main goal, the development of future leaders in marketing and distribution through a series of competitive events and group activities on the local, state, and national levels. Mu Alpha Theta The Math Honor Society is an aca- demic society dedicated to the task of increasing the knowledge of math. Throughout the year, it spon- sors a statewide mathematics com- petition, offers tutoring to students in math, and engages in many com- munity services. Not only does the society benefit the school and community, but it also gives its members the opportu- nity to enhance their own skills in math, as they represent Southwest in numerous math competitions.
