I 5-Q GIRLS' SPQRTS TI-IE GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The Girls' Athletic Association sponsored three major sports tor the girls this year: basketball, volleyball, and sottball. In ad- dition to these sports there were drilling, calisthenics, and track. The intramural program was very success! tul. The IO-I homeroom took the cham- pionship in basketball, playing against the IO-2's, with a tinal score ot 26 to 6. Lucy Tamboulian was the most commendable player in basketball. The B championship was won by the 8-I homeroom. The girl that was the most outstanding in this group was Dorothy Laing. The volleyball tourna- ment came oft very well with the IO-2 homeroom winning the championship: they were helped very much by their most praiseworthy player, Rosie Cravens. ln the B schedules games the 8-3's took the lead. The 8th grade girl who received most ta- vorable notice was Dorothy Bramstedt. This year we had some sharp styles in gym attire with sweat shirts and oh-so-long shirts heading the list. To sum it all up, remembering the 6th period-.what rowdies and what harmony! Y'7e think gym was a lot ot tun. ,w I I l- 4.2-M5 9 . .175 . YZ L ....L.:..- :Q it ybk I f J 1, I 4, I 4 ff 4 Cx!
