WE ARE ALL STARS with our own tight passing through moments tasting a kiss holding a child we lay on the earth our eyes in the sky. You and I pass through each other on the way to our own suns. You pause brush my skin with your papers pencils hair humming a tune skipping by. Dreams come to us in high school of graduation of money of love of time of children of houses and cars back seats and Saturday nights-. We pause for different beats to teach, to learn to fry a hamburger to take out the garbage news or doctor a hole in the ground feeding our minds on different mushrooms we tarnish in the salt winds. But we are stars in the eyes of the universe force on the earth of breath and blood. Through the days and nights Look at me! I amT' we say as you and I walk from the earth to the sky. Everybody is a sunrise A glowing mass to radiate on those around. We all have the power to warm and lighten. But is it that we screen our rays with dark tints of hatred and jealousy? Break through! Everybody is a lyric A single word in our melody of life, we are the phrases of a song, universal, but still unsung. Is it that we arc afraid of singing in a foreign key? Harmonize! Everybody is an emerald So beautiful and unique with their own qualities and talents, dazzling and intense to watch and touch. Yet is it that too many times we - wish we were rubies? Polish yourself!
