Where did you soy you lost your contact lens? physical education Helping students keep physically fit is a goal of the physical education department. Emphasis is placed on team sports during the junior high years. In the senior high school the emphasis changes to individual sports and activities such as tennis, archery, and tumbling. The physical education department also has an intramural program for the junior high school students. In grades 9 and 11 health is a required course in the physical education program. WEYDT ONE ARTS The Southwest art department strives to give its students an appreciation and understanding of art which will enrich their daily lives. Students are introduced to art in junior high, and in senior high elective courses, students are encouraged to work on individual projects. Southwest students have the opportunity to participate in vocal or instrumental music from grades seven through twelve. In junior high students are given a choice between the two types, and they may continue in senior high school with hopes of joining either the senior band, senior choir, or the Choralettes. O.
