INDUSTRIAL ARTS Serving as a stepping-stone to further vocational education are the industrial arts courses. In junior high school a sampling of various courses is given. Later, in senior high school, the individual student is free to specialize in the courses which interest him. WEYDT ONE ARTS The Southwest art department strives to give its students an appreciation and understanding of art which will enrich their daily lives. Students are introduced to art in junior high, and in senior high elective courses, students are encouraged to work on individual projects. Southwest students have the opportunity to participate in vocal or instrumental music from grades seven through twelve. In junior high students are given a choice between the two types, and they may continue in senior high school with hopes of joining either the senior band, senior choir, or the Choralettes. O.
