English Is the Basis of Our Education The fundamental skills of English taught at the Junior High level are strengthened in Senior High. This knowledge also serves as a basis for the study of literature. This year a new method of learning, team teaching, was introduced to a group of Southwest juniors. The course concentrated on three areas: Speech, directed by Miss Donahue; discussion, led by Mr. McDonough; and composition, taught by Mrs. Sundin. This is one of the many ways the English Department strives to maintain excellence in its program. Hou- did you eter gel to be a senior?’ ELINOR BOYLAN National Honor Society.
