Silver CABINET—Row I: Connie Oolan, Pat Daggett, Jeanne Renslow Sue Cook, Penny Hume . Row 2: Sue 8aker, Sharon Richardson, Judy Ready. Karol Ericion, Barbara Kraft, Linnca Paulson. Silver Tri, which is composed of freshmen and sophomore girls works to bring about a better community and a better world by promoting greater understanding among all races and faiths. A membership drive with an Indian theme began the year for the group. Tepees were set up in the gym and the activities of Silver Tri were explained. Under the active leadership of Jean Renslow, the group took part in several pot-luck suppers, a mother-daughter tea, and heard many interesting speakers, including Shorty Cochran. Silver Tri also took an active part in the International Fair, taking in more money on their import booth than any other group at the fair. This year Mrs. Haaland, Silver Tri's deserving advisor was voted advisor of the year. The Blue Tri is a service organization for junior and senior girls. The purpose is to learn to work together thereby promoting understanding and better relations between the peoples of the world, regardless of race, color or creed. This year the Blue Tri has given a recognition tea for new members, held bake sales to raise money, had joints with other V organizations, and had various other projects. One of the most interesting meetings held this year, was one at which there was a speaker from the Police Department. The girls also had a style show at Pershing along with Washburn and St. Louis Park. This year's group of 98 girls has been very active and will close out a year of fun with the Senior Farewell and the installation of next year's officers.
