Arrow Staff The door of the Arrow room slams, and Bob Steele, the Arrow business manager, beats a retreat down the hall. He has just come out second best in a battle of wits with the rest of the staff. In another corner, cackling quietly to herself, we find Sonja Honsey (her feet as usual in the waste paper basket). The rest of the staff wanders about with a look of relief on their faces—they've just met another deadline. Meanwhile, all through the school, eager students eye the Arrows which lie on the front desk, (that mean. fifth-hour teacher won’t pass 'em out til the end of the hour). The completed Arrows, which come out once every three weeks represent hard work and planning on the part of the staff. The Arrow is to be commended on the excellent papers they have turned out despite the fact that they were handicapped by the absence of their able advisor, Mrs. Zitt, during the last part of the year. Hi-Y Hi-Y is a service organization for high school boys. During the year, the boys have worked in order to help people less fortunate than they. This year, the Hi-Y sponsored a religious auditorium for Easter. Some of their other projects have included putting on Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners for the poor, selling Christmas trees at the V men's lots, and helping send underprivileged boys to summer camp. Although it is mainly a service organization, the boys also find time for parties and picnics and a Best Girl banquet for their mothers. Their advisors were Mr. Pearson and Mr. Warner.
