To Members of the 1952 Graduating Class: Don't let pessimistic headlines of wars, troubles, and unrest spoil your perspective. The farthest point in the world is now only 36 hours away, and the jet plane is fast reducing that time. We can circle the globe in less time than it took twenty years ago to go from coast to coast. Think what this can mean in terms of international good will and understanding! We are standing on the threshold of a new era in which we must completely change our conception of direction, time, and space. The air age has provided us with new foundations on which to build a more friendly, a more prosperous, a finer world in which to live. The challenge, the adventure, the opportunity is yours!
