THE SOUTHWEST SCENE. A first edition! A new staff in a new school put out its first paper the first month of the school year. Getting printing bids, sel- ling ads to a community who had never heard of Southwest High, finding out news about a group of students who hadn't done anything together as a group before, and figuring out how to best use the talents of an unknown group of staff members--a challenge, sometimes a trial--but a success for the Southwest Scene! A good school paper to begin with--and getting better all the time . . .that's what the Southwest Scene is all about! 1. Jose Nlartinez, Editor and Chief of the Southwest Scene 5 2.
