1. When asked how she liked Southwest VIRGINIA SYVERSON said it was Great - so far. Nlrs. Syverson majored in Social Science and Political Science at San Diego State. She now teaches Voc English, Ethnic Lit. and Creative Writing. 2. MARILYN TIGHE was born and raised in South Carolina. She went to college at Sienna College and the University of South Carolina. She majored in Spanish and History. The only thing she doesn't like about Southwest is the lack of school spirit and no traditions. 3. PETER TREADWELL says his most memorable moments while teaching are Watching kids finally get to learn something . He majored in Latin American Studies and History at the University of San Diego and San Diego St. 4. A graduate of the University of San Diego DONALD WILLIAMS majored in French and Sociology. When asked how he liked teaching at Southwest he pleaded the 5th, 2. FRED SILLS majored in Physical Education at San Diego State. His hobbies are skiing, oil painting, fishing and sand volleyball. 3. MARY STONE was born in Munich, Germany. At Colorado University and Colorado State University she majored in Biology, P.E. and Health. Her hobbies are her husband, swimming, arts and crafts, woodworking, her husband, backpacking, skiing, and her husband. 4. RACHEL STENVALL said the thing she liked most about Southwest was the students. At the University of Arizona she majored in Reading and English. When asked what made her decide to become a teacher she said, I really hoped to make a difference in lives of people who had as bad a time in school as I had. 5. Our Auto Fundamentals and Metal Shop tea- cher WEBB SMITH is a graduate of Southwestern and San Diego State University. He majored in Industrial Arts, HealthlDrivers Ed, and Music. Some of his hobbies are restoring antique autos and travelling and camping.
