When asked what she liked most about Southwest she said Why the Homemaking Department. 2. PAUL JUAREZ says that teaching at Southwest is Great . A few of the colleges he attended were Chapman College, California State College and Sonoma State College. He teaches Spanish and Eng. Comp. 3. RICHARD GRAHAM majored in Health and Physical Education at San Diego State. When he was asked what made him decide to become a teacher he said Fate . He teaches California History, Frontier American History and U.S. History in the 20th. 4. ALICIA GINIINEZ is a native of San Diego. At San Diego State she majored in Physical Education. She said she wanted to be a teacher because she likes being with young people, and loves sports. 5. DAVID GONZLEZ wanted to be a teacher so that he could make things miserable for kids because he hates them. He majored in History and Sociology at the University of San Diego. He is currently teaching U.S. History and Frontier American History.

li' 1. CATHY LIGON says that her most embarrassing moment was when she had to explain to her principal that she was late to work because she got lost on the freeway and was headed for L.A. She went to the Universities of California at Riverside and Berkeley, San Francisco State and San Diego State. She majored in English. 2. MICHAEL NIELLON majored in Mathematics at San Diego State University. When asked what he didn't like about Southwest he said No landscaping yet. He teaches Life Science, Algebra I and he also coaches soccer. 3. At the University of Santa Barbara JOHN RAUE, the art teacher majored in. . . Art. His hobbies are skiing, tennis, golf, painting and ceramics. He also has a pet cactus named Rock . 4. RONALD PIETILA majored in P.E. at Cal Western and San Diego State. He says his most embarrassing moment while teaching has been when he fell down and injured his whole body at the end of a 60 yd. race with a student. He teaches Family Life. 5. GARY PUDA our photography teacher, was born in Chicago, Illinois. He went to Northern Illinois Univer- sity, Grossmont College and San Diego State University.
