The story is about the joys and sorrows of love on a little island in the South Pacific where American seamen are sta- tioned with American nurses. Emile de Becque, a local Frenchman, falls madly in love with one of the nurses, Nellie Forbush, while Bloody Mary is trying to play matchmaker with her daughter Liat and Lt. joseph Cable. All does not end happily as the tragedies of war touch this remote little island. This year's operetta was done very well and as always, much thanks and recognition are to be extended to Mr. Foster and Mr. Alter. S American Grafitti in the South Pacific.
