AM L TXVMGJ V x The classes and halls are empty, the students are gone, and 1968 is another year down in history. But, somehow, it will always be a year which had special meaning to each individual. To the Freshmen, it was a year that created a whole new way of life. Beginning at Orientation Day, high school seemed so much bigger and different. As usual, however, each adjusted and at the end of the year, Southwest was like home. For Soph- omores, the joy of reaching that magic driving age help- ed brighten the year. And, to the Juniors, the thought of the long-awaited J unior-Senior Prom made the year fly. However, for most Seniors, it was a year to be like no other. It was to to be their last at Southwest, and that moment of graduation seemed so near. Now, the year is over, and some of the memories of it will be re- membered, some forgotten. Things like the chilly Home- coming Parade or Redskin Revels with its funny in-be- tween acts. . . the frigid Van Horn game and the sticky floor at the Christmas Dance. . . seeing ROTC return to Southwest. . . enjoying exchange students Jaime and Penny. . . rehearsing for the Sound of Music. . . having 2 f.
