CLASS of 1945 War has dominated the thoughts and activities of the world during our brief existence at Southwest. All four of our years have been war years, years of chal- lenge to the youth of America, and especially to us, the graduating class of 1945. We shall meet that challenge in our united efforts to achieve victory, some by actual service in the armed forces, some in other fields of endeavor. At the same time, an atmosphere of normalcy has pervaded our halls. This may not seem in keeping with the times, but perhaps. this air of security and reg- ularity will not seem to have been amiss when, after the war, the clean, intelligent young people of today will effect a just and permanent peace.
