In the FALL we honored five FSU year teachers and our first PTA President: met the freshmen mothers at a dessert luncheon: spent an evening highlighting extra-curricular activities: engineered a successful card party: and xisited classrooms at open house. VVlN'l'FiR was a time of activity and achievement. After a December holiday for Christmas, we learned about vocational opportunities at Southwestg en- tertained all the schools of the llistrict at an inter- esting Founders Day program: and purchased sound equipment for the auditorium as part of the P'l'A's annual gift to the school. To highlight SPRlNC'l'lME. our meetings were focused on Southwest puhlications. the Concert Twenty-two Band and student achievement. Our membership crept to nearly a thousand-the largest in the City iactive on City-wide and State levels. SUMMER vacation will he a busy time for the newly elected officers and hoard. preparing for another wonderful year at Southwest.
