Executive From the time it was formed until the present, our Parent-Teachers Association has been an im- portant factor in the progress of Southwest. Al- ways an active group, this year's organization proved no exception to the rule. The following ex- cerpt from the report by the president, Mrs. Wm. H. Hamel gives ample proof of this statement. i'We had financial success from a card party, which enabled us to contribute to the purchase of a fan for the faculty room. earmark a sum for a much needed projector. assist in bus transporta- tion for a football game. and give a .lune and january senior dance. We were also able to en- Ifiglzteerz Committee roll the school in Junior Red Cross, support the Caroline B. Ulmann Student Loan Fund, donate to the St. Louis Parent-Teacher Scholarship Foun- dation, serve refreshments at all of our meetings, send representation to many civic affairs, send two delegates to State Convention in Kansas City, send a gift subscription of the National Parent-Teacher Magazine to a foreign country, and make our third contribution to the Brisbin Memorial Fund toward the purchase of Band Uniforms? The Roundup congratulates the Association on this fine record.
