The Junior Longhorns won three games, lost two, and tied one. Actually they played bet- ter football than indicated by their record. Coach Merchant did a commendable job con- sidering that he had to develop inexperienced players. The close scores of the games indi- cated that these boys were instilled with a fighting spirit. Backs Ed Merkle, Don Jones, Bob Mc- Ready, and Joe Pallazzo plus lineman George Radford showed promise-and with proper seasoning should help our varsity team next year.
