MERCHANT Although our Junior Longhorns were thrown for four losses against two wins for the 1951 foot- ball season, they played better football than the record indicates. The team, made up of green players for the most part, is one of considerable promise. The close scores show that with proper seasoning they will make good. With such players as Bob Straeb and Nick Chiapelas to lead the stampede next year Southwest will garner another football title.
