Science Science is usually defined as a systematic study based on observation, experimenta- tion, and induction. In the Science Depart- ment we try not only to learn some of this knowledge, but to use and appreciate the methods of science. The Science Department at Southwest requires Health Science, General Science, and General Biology. Human Biology Phy- sics, and Chemistry are elective subjects.
