Fliad Working late after school was no unusual occurrence for the industrious Iliad staff. The attempts they made to recapture the memories of this, Southwest's last year as a senior high, was a time-consuming and constant responsibility, but it was one enjoyed by allstaffmembers. They took and selected pictures, made layouts, gathered and edited copy. Last summer, Mary Williamson, Hugh Hamp- ton, Rosemary Perry, and Nelson Jones, attended the Press Institute at Chapel Hill. Classes in art and layout, composition, writing copy, taking pictures, and writing captions were held. Learn- ing that the trend in modern yearbooksisto have interesting pictures showing people doing some- thing, the representatives have worked hard to illustrate this in the 1964 Iliad.
