{ Hey Club = — iS Key Club International is an outstanding service club for boys. Its purposes include the development of initiative and leadership in high school boys through a program of service. Members of the Southwest chapter have always been ready to render their services to the school and community whenever called upon. This year Key Clubbers have participated in projects ranging from operation of the concession stand to distribution of Goodwill bags for our city's Goodwill Industries. Scholarship, Character sleadershi p, Service... Twice each year outstanding Juniors and Seniors meeting these require - ments are taken into the National Honor Society by impressive inductions. One of the school's most active organizations, the Society encourages good scholarship in several ways. Honor and improvement rolls are announced quarterly. Students making the yearly honor roll are presented with emblems, and a party is given for those making the honor roll at any time during the year. Quill and Scroll At a luncheon, the Society honored these students who made all A's for the first semester: Luena Garrison, Brenda Mann, Dickie Chandler, Janie Burwell, and Carma Lustig. Juniors and Seniors who are in the upper third of their Loafman, Linda Jones, Phyllis Woosley, Judy Jones. class and have done superior work on either the ILIAD or Second row: Janet Hunter, Hazel Gordon, Deanna Sprinkle, the ODYSSEY staff are eligible for membership in the Laura Hampton, Maryellen Robertson.
