Student Life Sports Grganization People Academics f--'- RAGONNIERE 1 987 SOUTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL SAN ANTONIO, TX. New Beginning As each school year begins, everyone brings something new to Southwest to help continue the striving to make our school the best that it can possibly be. Students bring new goals and new dreams, new faces appearg new rules are enforced. The 1986- 87 school year brought changes that helped continue the Southwest tradition. In September, the junior class and Southwest make history by presenting Rock- fest '86 -the Erst ever rock concert to be held on a school campus, For the first time in it's history, the Southwest student council was elected president ofthe AASC district. New gates were installed in the school building. William Holmes and Laura Yza- guirre began their first year as vice- principals, Whether we were cheering one ot' the Dragon sports teams on to victory, partici- pating in school functions and activities, earning a scholarship, or just spreading Dragon Pride , we helped keep the Southwest tradition alive. lrightj Members of the cast of Blithe Spirit pose for a group shot.
