DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT, MR. BENNIE F. STEINHAUSER Under the scholarly leadership of Mr. Bennie F. Steinhauser, many new undertakings have come about in the district such as Bob Hope Elementary, the new wing of Indian Creek Elementary, and a third wing is in the initial stage of being built at Indian Creek. The Superintendent must devote much of his own time and energy toward keeping Southwest in tune with the ris- ing standards of education. Serving for the third year, Mr. Steinhauser is de- lighted with the progress Southwest is maintaining. The qualifications for superintendent are varied, and this is one reason Mr. Steinhauser was chosen for the difficult task of fulfilling goals of this district. Several times each month the Board of Trustees and our superintendent meet to serve the needs of South- west Independent School District. Patience and discriminate planning have enabled these dedicated persons to promote plans and ideals for the continued growth and prosperity of our school district.
