Cheerleaders Arouse Enthusiasm, Pride, Cheers of excitement and tears of disappoint- ment characterized the atmosphere of our 1966-67 football season. Cheerleaders Janet Bitner, Con- nie Aldridge and Sue Eppler, did their best to raise the spirit of Southwest fans. Our cheerlead- ers spent a significant amount of time and effort making signs, rehearsing routines and practicing cheers. They were often seen before game time proudly wrapping the goal posts with Green and White. Tremendous credit must be given to the suc- cess ofthe cheerleaders in their combined effort to lead and improve our shcool spirit.. The time spent, tears shed, and work accomplished have been compensated by their success as cheerleaders of 1966-67.
