Mr. Don McAskill uses the mike to lecture. Texas History comes to life under the teaching of one of our history teachers, Mr. Earl Hessong. Mr. C. A. Mueller prepares for a class in addition to his duties as Principal. Included in the History Department at Southwest are classes in American History, Government, World History, and Texas History. During the semester students take field trips to the Bexar County Courthouse, San Antonio City Hall, the Alamo and other mission points, Witte Museum, and the Main Library. 29
