They come, they go Resurrection I have always felt that the difference between happiness and unhappiness was living I mean, when someone says to me I'm unhappy I always wonder - Hey you, are you Alive or are you Dead? It's like a heart transplant -- Give someone a little heart and suddenly land without realizing itj he is living again. Amy Lussier EVIL Your evil eyes Burning hot Anger inside Coming out Burning for revenge Ready to attack You creep like a snake Desperate for pain Rid your hatred And your burning eyes Forjealousy Is no answer Carolyn Hood Su ffocation Very often, we must live with those who hang on to our hearts Like kittens on screen doors with their claws. Attempting to pry then' loose Is futile. Dianne Chance be glad that you have memories silken strands that link your heart to the past memories are painful spots of warmth that we'd probably be better off without but who would ever trade spots of warmth for cold? Amy Lussier In the Wind Look, to the horizon, As you feel your heart run Away with the sunset, , And feel the wet rain Of your crying, For the love of your friends They stop, and flow On by, never to return Never to go But the ones we love Manage to slip our minds Till we pass on by the town While nobody's aware While no one's Around And ones we think we love Leave never hurting our soul As harsh as friends That come and go in the mind Th at come and go in the wind With the few words that may begin Your life. it's just as nice, to go to sleep at night and hear someone say i love you when you were thinking just the same thing about them. Marty Wallis Into The Lake Pick up the pieces And throw them with your polished Stones . . . and watch them splash. Ben Taylor Trees are human, for we have emotions. I can remember when that couple came and carved their initials in me. They were so very happy. As the years went by the couple would come back and sit under the shade of my branches. I felt like a protective mother to them, and when they came to me in tears, I ached for them. Diane Dorsey When you spoke it was an unreality. My senses had dulled and I was in a fantasy. Your words reached me but I couldn't control them. My mind was foggedg and your words were lost in the mist, running like a frightened child. I tried to pull your words together in a string that I could ready but they kept snarling and knotting until their meaning was too tangled. Finally I gave up hope and collapsed in my fantasy where no words can reach and no thoughts can hurt. Debbie Mobley Oi! 3 I have no Idea' Left is an empty sheet of paper at the desk of a writer, Or an empty boxing glove Of a noted fighter, No weights for an athelete to lift, No paper for the wrapper of a gift, Or a guitar with no strings to play, So when I take you out tell me I' What to say. Never before has such zeal been centered around one event nationwide. The word bicentennial has become a standard of living. The advertising world has gone berserk with its use of slogans and displays. Go Bicentennial this year, be the first to wear the official bicentennial underwear that can be purchased only at America's bicentennial store. The basic Old Glory colors will look chic even under- neath your most stylish fashions. Don't be left out! Jump on the bandwagon now and ride into the year of 76 knowing you are bicentennial patriot. Thousands of bicentennial products are flooding the market and finding their way into American homes. No home is complete without several souvenirs of America's history proudly displayed: Bicentennial life-size statues of Minute Men, replicas of the Libertv Bell, murals of Paul Revere's famous ride, etc, will accumulate in American homes. Boon every family will be celebrating bi- centennial day once a week. Each member will dress in the fashions of the time and act in a manner associated with the period. The unbelievable advertisements and products that are revealed each day are comically absurd. It is a challenge to guess what bicentennial product will be contrived the succeeding day. Perhaps bicentennial toothpicks are next on the list. attack the commies Silence dances in what little Left right left Filled in green And ready to go Attack the British As they march by San Juan isnft a bad place to go Neither was Canada or Mexico, or Spain, or Italy, or France, or Germany so attack that pan zer 1 fUncle Fred's Mercuryj The rain poured loudly Debbie Mobley On the ruined soil.
