The Clique People standing in social circles: chatting nervously. Talking, and talking, aiming to impress. Nodding and smiling and not really caring . .- . everyone so busy trying to impress - that no one is impressed - unless it is with his ovsm excellent performance. Cindy Neal It was my first clay at work, and wouldn't you know, I got stuck making French fries. I guess I was wrong in thinking my job at Chic-fil-a would be a little glamorous. When I didn't do too well at dipping ice cones in chocolate syrup ftwo fell in the chocolatej, I was told to bag the orders. After a few mixups and some customers complaining because the lids on the cole slaw weren't on tight enough tit, must have been a messj, I got switched to French fries. My boss said an idiot could make French fries so I guess that's why they gave me that job. The first batch turned out all right and I was proud. The lines at the cash register started getting longer and longer, and everyone was running around in a mad rush. I put on the second batch of fries but somehow, in all the rush, I managed to forget all about them. I remembered when I saw the grease splattering and clouds of black smoke rising slowly. Discouraged and disillusioned, I sat in the employees restroom for 15 minutes and cried. Feeling better and a little more confident, I remembered I only had Slmore hours to work that day. I didn't have to worry because I almost never make the same mistakes twice and I'd already done everything wrong, Camille Taylor I love the weekend, although that does not set me apart from everyone else. Unfortunately, Monday is just around the corner. I hope it gets hit by a bus. Karen Harris Q.'7'-I I r r I

Camille Taylor I can look into your eyes and love you, Or catch a glimpse of your hair as you turn the corner, And dream of the day when you'll notice me, Then our lips will touch and the Angels will sing. But it won't happen. Anyway, the Angels only sing for movies. Marna Scarry You're cold, but then you're sweet Before you stare, you're through You're too changeable I can never depend on you And you ask me what's the matter You're snobbish, you're cruel Never think about the fun you poke You giggle and laugh And call it all a joke And you ask me why I cry inside If tears are all that matter Then it doesn't matter at all Brad Kizzort T I. rj .., M 'uve C Music It is funny how music Is applicable to one's Life When he loses the one he loves. Tad Grisham Holiday Memories I found an old picture of you in my attic. An image of your soul, Your spirit in Kodacolor. Things always begin so slowly, and move on so smoothly. Yet, when the end comes it is always so sudden. Cindy Gill On the yellowing back of the picture A note was written. Taken in front of the old house where l was born 212157. I haven't the heart to tell you what you remind me of in this picture, But if you had come out of your house and seen your shadow I would have expected six more weeks of winter. Ronnie Wright No one had to tell me. I always knew that finally it would be like this. I always knew, that someday you would leave and someday I would be left alone. Cindy Neal
