Besides two different colors and a nylon fabricg have you ever stopped to think about what's in the tassel that takes five long years to eam the privelege of hanging it on your rearview mirror? What's in a tassel? Let me tell you . . . Senior Tassel Recipe Take one year of buying elevator passes and pep ralley tickets and mix with one slight indention on the head from a senior ring. Fold in and combine the M cup of water that landed on the poster that you worked on all last night and taped over the water fountain. Chop this into small pieces and separate the pre-freshman from the freshman as you enter your Ninth grade year. Set aside and prepare for the Soph-a-more announce- ments. Mix together three weeks of Drivers Education with one learners permit and a four-year license. Bake .for one year in the smokin' SWD parking lot. Top this off with one dedicated year of preparing for a fun-filled night called the Junior-Senior. Add to that and blend well: one senior ring twith initials if desiredj and a brand new shiny senior key. Stir in 6th period open campus and garnish with senior direc- tories. Combine all these ingredients and shape into an SWD High School diploma. Serve with graduation robe and as a finishing touch . . . you guessed it . . . your very own blue and gold SENIOR TASSEL with which you have now eamed the right to hang on your rearview mirror.
