Everyone is familiar with the saying, A school is judged by the pro- duct which it sends out to take its place in the world. It is unfortunate that there cannot be placed upon this product a tag showing the condition of the raw material as it entered the schoo-l. l am sure that if suchta plan could be adopted in schools as Southwest Baptist College, with her Christian atmos- phere, the reaction of the public as to her ability would be gratifying. As Alumni, we need but to look back upon the history Mater to see the tremendous sacrifices that have been made to keep this great in- stitution moving forward to the place she now holds in the hearts of her con- stituency. We need but to look to the courageous men and women who in try- ing days have gone without their salaries, and who have rendered their services cheerfully, or to those who have given of money, saved to satisfy a cherished dream, that the college might meet pressing financial obligations, to realize that ll ' more than an ordinary school. Every loyal alumnus is grateful for those sacriflces and for the many person- our influences and our gifts are pledged al benefits he has received.
