This year Southside possessed a spark of enthusiasm. Golden moments that spread new shine to the halls of the school were plen- tiful. The school year of 1983-84 was a time to step back and take another look at Southside. Going for the gold was what the year was all about. rl T-..t,... Academics reached new heights in many ways. More students than ever were named National Merit Semifinalists. Larger numbers were seen in Bluc Ribbon page 104 Rebel fans really got their money's worth. Southside sports were off and running and never seemed to stop . . . always going for perfection - the blue ribbon - the gold. CLASS page 134 Southsiders filled the halls and classrooms. The school received one of the biggest sophomore classes, while the junior class seemed smaller compared to the seniors and sophomores.
