Wallace J. Howell, M. A. Principal iq, Q ,ggffi 'F PBR IHANKYUQ1 Director The man behind the smooth running mecha- nism of Southside's curriculum is Wallace J. Howell. Formerly principal of George M. Diven School, Mr. Howell began his work at South- side this year upon the death of the well loved Clifford F. McNaught. Already with his help- ing hand and willing smile, Mr. Howell has en- deared himself to the faculty and students of Southside High School. Being principal of a high school the size of Southside is no easy job. Besides supervising the regular business of each school day, Mr. Howell's duties entail advising pupils and teachers, filling out various college recommendation blanks, and attending teacher's meetings and P. T. A. sessions. Despite the many duties which he must carry through, Mr. Howell still finds time to make acquaintance with the pupils both individually and in groups.
