Practical- ly all trained writers had received a sheep- skin the previous spring. and t-he faculty ad- viser was transferred to North Side. Father Brand. the sheet's hustling new adviser. gath- ered in the remnants and proceeded to keep up the reputation. The first issue was a slow. tough. but sure start. In time Cartoonists offered their services: juniors dropped around to look the place over and wound up with names on the masthead.
