A. U. soccer tournament in March. Al Hoemeke, Vernon Pfiffner, loe Vorbeck,, Red Travis and Soccer Harry Huber, pictured in that ' order at the right were among the champions' outstanding players. 0 ten-man soccere Realizing that soccer was well on its way toward the Limbo of Lost Arts because the paucity of goals scored did not hold the interest of the public, South Side's Brother Dan Rabitt, working with Mr. Louis Kittlaus of Southwest High, devised a new form of the sport designed to enliven the game and arouse more spectator interest. the old, with the difference that there is no goal-keeper. Still in its infancy, ten-man soccer has already been acclaimed by newspaper- men, coaches, athletes, even by local A.A.U. 1, 'Q ' The new game is fundamentally the same as '-1 'Q ' x, - it officials, as the tonic needed to revive soccer.
