These improvements have made a more complete curriculum. ln the laboratories, with modern and precise equipment, students are now able to pursue their personal interests. Research labs and various tests enable them to tind the specific areas in which they have the most ability. The business department with calculators, adding machines, tran- scribers, an addressograph, and mimeograph mach- ines also gives students practical working experience in their education. In the modern world of today, the need for im- proved reading increases everyday. The Develop- mental Reading program with Mr. Wells at its helm steers students to improve both their read- ing speed and comprehension. ln the fall, all of the senior students took an I-Q test. This test and other similar tests give the counselors and teachers an idea of the capabilities of each student.

W '64 .Sllmfm By maintaining a high scholastic average throughout her twelve years of school, Carol Miller has earned the po- sition of valedictorian of the l964 Senior Class. Carol leads her class with a very high academic record, Suzanne Rodebaugh and Dale Sidebottom who ranked second and third, respectively, are vying with Carol for a place at the pinnacle of academic quality. Scholar, Bill Parmenter, who ranks fifth in his class, completes set a wonderful example for her class in that she strives for per plans for continuing his studies next year. fection in everything she does
