. v Seniors and juniors await the opening strains of the grand march at the first Junior-Senior Prom to be held in the new fieldhouse, School days are the golden days, and some of the most outstanding events at Southport are the fabulous dances. Matching sweaters are the attire for the annual Sweater Swirl held in honor of the fall sports. To start the holi- day season with the gaiety be-fitting it, is the Christmas Dance. The saying goes that turn- about is fair play, and at the Turn-About Twirl the girls take the responsibilities of the boys. This gives a girl a chance to catch her man. The junior class sponsors a lovely formal dance in honor of the senior class. All the re- sponsibilities of this dance fall on the junior class. The last all-school dance is the May Dance in honor of the spring sports, At the Prom, awards of plaques were presented by the junior class officers to the senior class officers in ac- knowledgement of their excellent service to their class.
