'Tll String long, ith You A young violinist who has gained many laurels for himself and for Southport is Ronald Conner. Ronald has won four firsteplace awards in the district music contest and tour in the state, He also played in a trio which obtatned a first. Thus he has established an outstanding and somewhat remarkable record, since he has been a student of the violin for only three years. His instructor is Victor Danek, the director of music at Indiana Central College. Ronald plans to make music his career and is contemplating Indiana University as his school of higher education. His accompanist in this picture is Lurea Eaton. ur Top Hits Membership in the National Honor Society is based on scholarship, activities, and personality, Each pupil's rating ts worked out on a scale and the top ten per cent of the senior class and the top tive per cent of the iunior class are inducted into this organization. A gold pin and membership card indicate that one has met the high standards of the society, The National Honor Society, sponsored by Miss Helen Chandler, promotes scholarship, character, leadership, and service. It is an international organization with members in the United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
