Mr. C. Calvin Leedy, Principal of Southport High School. Administrates Our School As the principal and progressive leader of Southport, prin- cipal C. Calvin Leedy forms a strong bond between administra- tion and the student body. Administrative duties draw heavily on his time and energy but he is never too busy to have a private conference with some student or to attend any activity of the school. Being a man who achieves, he has helped uh to achieve and to remain a member of the North Central Association.

ADMI I TRATIO Our life also includes the life of the faculty. Through their untiring years of service and the execution of their many duties they have become greatly devoted to our will. They guided us as freshmen and now acknowledge our farewells with words of wisdom and encouragement. The senior class gratefully thanks this faculty, those present and absent, for its years of education which will always prove invaluable.

OUR TRUSTEE Under the progressive admin- istration of Nelson P. Swift, Trustee of Perry Township, South- port is erecting the much needed Junior High School. He is build- ing the school so that more rooms may be added to this proj- ect A which contains twenty- one classrooms and a cafeteria capable of feeding four hundred at one time, This building will be ready for occupancy by Septem- ber l953. When the final 52,000,000 project is completed in perhaps six to eight years, there will be four buildings, a classroom build- ing, cafeteria, a windowless au- dio-visual education building, and the gym. With foresight and unfaltering devotion the conscientious Mr. Swift has directed the school along a road of growth and achievement as manifested by this expansion plan. A break for us was when school was dismissed on September 29 l95l for the breaking of the ground for the new Perry Township Junior High School
