DEDICATION Our days at Southold High School are coming to a close. We are not sure what we will find outside these doors, but we are hopeful because you have taught us to make judgments carefully in the hopes that our decisions will be the best ones. It has been said that to be able to enjoy one's past life is to live twice. Your deep concern and assistance along the way will prove in the years before us to be a warm remembrance. We, the class of 1979 salute you, Bruce Staiger and with warm thoughts will always remember you. WHO ARE WE? WHERE ARE WE GOING? Who are we? Where are we going? Take the time to consider both questions separately, and you soon discover their hidden meaning. Self-assuredness develops from our experiences and strong convictions. Each of us has a set of values created from our past which are a determining factor in our future. As we ponder the days ahead we are already aware that we need to begin looking beyond the immediate, toward the not too distant future. Responsibility calls us and ready or not we are facing a lifetime of trials, tribulations, hopes, joys and knowledge. What we have learned at home and in school in their separate ways are combined and enable our thoughts to grow and help our minds to wonder about the possibilities before us. 4 When we leave our school we will take with us many memories: the early mornings when the halls were empty lacking the excitement that they always contained when freinds were around, the soccer games we played so hard to win, the throwing of a frisbee outside at lunch, and even the thoughs of days in class when our class interaction seemed almost as important as the instructor's words. These times will be behind us soon, but their memories will always be a part of us and provide us with enough remembrances for a lifetime. β β β WvftX: Β 'iββ' ' β¦ . - : - 4 L Β« J1 T, Walter E.
