L - , 1 . ei 5' ' IN THEIR OWN WAY Best Musxcxans Dons Lehr Gene Goldsmith Class Casanovas Marlanne Bmgmann John Lhlllllll Quletest Dottie Strasser Jerome Conway so-9 f4 lf .MEM 'hmm Most AII'lb1t10llS Class Clowns Laziest Bruce Lehr Richard Kull Friendliest Barbara Falmore Barbara Leicht Bobble Kaelln Muggy Norklun Rolf Schootf Herm Lleblem 19 Romeo and Bobby Cogan Butch Mullen Shyest Alec Elak Pete Carstensen The Laughter We Were Glad To Share Wall Echo Through The Years I remember that day in September 1952 when fifty two young upstarts from the Eighth Grade invaded Room 204 to begin therr four year parade through school With M1 Dart as our advrsor we elected John Drller president Carol Cam vice president Dons Lehr treasurer Marranne Brngmann secretary Looking back on that first adventurous nrcnrc at Founders Landing I remember Mr Darts sorcy ham burger sauce and his well known funny stories With the coming of spring we welcomed two new class members John Chrzzrni and Rolf Schoofl and we lamented the departure of a popular student Larry Hoyt We ended our Freshman year with an exciting trip to Coney Island It rs still pleasant to recall what a thrilling time we all had Before we knew it September was here and this time we emerged as Sophomores Mr Dart and Mrss Hen rrcksen were there to greet us rn Room 204 and we started the year with the electron of class officers John Drller was re elected president John Chrzzrm became vice president Barbara Kaelm and Marianne Brngmann were elected secretary and treasurer respe tively During the year we enjoyed a gay time with prcn cs dances and skating partres As Sophomores we worked hard but we had our fun too Junror year came We were upper classmen at last' This time our class advrsor was Mr Chraramonte Electrons were held resulting rn John Drllers being president again Added to our class was Terry Fellowes Our frrst attempt at making money was a food sale We made over one hundred dollars profit a record which still stands I remember the day when the Balfour representative came to order our class rings On March 29 when they finally came we proudly showed our rings to all That year marked the loss of two class members to other schools Donald Reiter and John Nrckles We had a hilarious trme at Hummels Pond where we had a going away party for Donald Reiter Basketball Nrte wrll always be remembered as a night of fun and financial success Boy drd we work hard selling those tickets' I recall that Friday May 13 1955 when a proud J umor class held rts Junror Prom The class chose Frances Krukowskr and Joe Oates to be co chairmen Our night club theme turned out to be a fabulous success after much hard work and planning September 1955 arrrved and looking around we noticed that we had reached the highest peak lh our high school career We were Seniors' What a feeling' Mr Grldersleeve and Mrss Gattr were our Senror advrsors John Drller was re elected as presrdent Gene Goldsmith became our new veep Doris Lehr became secretary Marianne Brngmann was re elected treasurer We had hardly any time to think about taking it easy for our magazine campaign got under may a few days later We canvassed almost every house in the area and some outside As a result we sold over S5000 worth of subscriptions The prize winning salesmen were Barbara Kaelrn Joseph Oates Barbara Cogan Doris Lehr and John Drller The day came when Goldre chose the cast for our Senror Play Junror Prom For months our Thesbrans slaved and sweated over their lrnes Finally tne night of February 3 1956 arrrved and an excited cast presented therr play From all reports the audience enyoyed our effort and the play was declared a success Our' next great endeavor a senior ball entrtled Mo onlrght and Roses was preceded by rose making parties at Margaret Norkluns home The boys enjoyed this as much as the girls drd During our Senror year our advrsor Mr Grldersleeve broke the monotony of homeroom time by having us tell jokes and proverbs The result was a laugh filled school day April 26 came and thirty four Seniors hobbled onto the pokey L I R R at six oclock rn the morning our destination the nations capital I shall never forget the fun excitement and thrill of this trip None of us wanted to return On the night of our Senror Banquet we proudly unveiled our SNUFFBOX The work of the past months was revealed Then Senror Day arrived and marked the last activity of our four years rn high 5011001 Nov. as we face the walk down those steps graduation night it is with gratrtude rn our hearts fcr the good years provrded us in high school We look to the future with a bright hope for tomorrow 20 I . 2 . , . - . : .
