26 House or Home What lf you were asked to glve the defi nltlon of a house? Naturally nearly all would say a house IS a structure whlch IS used to protect humans Th1s IS a true dEf:1l'l1tlOll but what lf you are asked for the defimtlon of a home? A large per centage of you would g1ve the same definltxon for a home as you dld for a house I for one wouldn t I would say A home IS an organlzed group l1v mg 1n a house and const1tut1ng a famlly among whom one may find peace comfort love and sol ace This shows that a house IS only a small part of a home In fact xt acts only as a protec tion for a home In the Un1ted States there are mllhons of houses Large houses small houses bungalows and manslons These should all be a part of and a shelter for a home Well you say arent they? No they are not They are just structures used to shelter human belngs To be a strong natlon we must have homes To have homes we must know what they are Let us start now to tell people about homes and to teach them to become people who help to con stxtute a home But first before we start our dr1ve for more homes on the outslde allow me to ask you thls questxon Do you l1ve 1n a house or 1n a home?
