'fi hz The LEGEND Published by: SENIOR CLASS OF 1967 SOUTHMORELAND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ALVERTOM PA. EDITION III DEDI CA T I ON MR. D. WILLIAM DAVIS A deep grief was felt by our school late in the 1965-1966 term with the passing of Mr. D. William Davis. Mr. Davis had been high school principal at East Huntingdon for 29 years and high school principal at Southmoreland since its conception in 1964. His many years in local public education earned him the respect and ad- miration of all who were associated with him, and his warm personality won him many lasting friendships. His administrative ability will be missed by the faculty, while his sincere and wise counseling will be missed by students. We, the Senior Class of 1967, dedicate our Legend to Mr. Davis. DEDI CA TI ON MRS. CAROLYN ECKMAN The friendly manner toward her students and the pleasant smile that she possessed shall always be remembered by the many students she taught throughout the years. We, the Senior Class of 1967, dedicate our Legend to Mrs. Eckman. N F ORE WURD We have at last reached the peak of our high school career. Since our early days in junior high, we have looked up to and envied the Seniors, who' made our school a unit and a place we were proud to attend. Now that our time has come, and nearly gone, we look ahead and realize that what we have learned here will always be with us, and be a part of us. We wish to always remember the wonderful moments which have helped to create our Senior Year, and for this reason, we have captured as many as possible and enclosed them as a part of this, our Legend. 1 1 1 1 Q 1 il if 33 TABLE O F CONTENTS '41 ff' . . ..
