Kr ur Foreign-Exchange Student Ana Marie Gomez stands five feet, 2 inches, has blue black hair and huge black eyes. She's from Makati, Rizal - Phili- phine Islands and is the youngest and only girl of seven chil- dren. She came to the states on August 26th, 1972, to live with jill Milligan and her family in Waveland. Some of her hobbies are swimming, modeling, and travel- ing. She models in her spare time for different types of shows and corporations. Last summer she and her Mother took a two month tour of the world. She says that she's traveled to more places in America and Asia than in the Philipine Islands . While attending Southmont she took such subjects as Home- Ec., Algebra, History and typing. Her school hours in the Philipines were from 7:30 until 3:30. Since the Philipine stu- dents are sometimes out of school because of typhoons they must make up those days on Saturdays. Their school year runs from june until April. Ana participated in girls' volleyball here at Southmont and was a member of the Sunshine Society. A look at the traditions, dress, culture and life style of the Philippines, provided by the Home Ec. department. Ana and her American sister, Jill.

The Drama Club presented Oklahoma and Up the Down Staircase this year. The fall production Was produced in a joint effort with the music depart- ment. A picnic for the club was held in the spring.
