Mrs. Howard gives Diana Riddle dictation for practice before she went to New Mexico. Diana won the State Championship in shorthand and earned the honor of going to New Mexico for the National O.E. A. Conference. Different organizations throughout the school helped Diana to pay her way to New Mexico where she placed 2nd in the Nation. May 10, was declared Diana Riddle Day at Southniont High School, and posters were displayed all over the building to welcome Diana back to school. ip .512 xg ev Q. x Cathy Kessler was Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year and Daughters of the American Revolution representative.
