The ability to be noticeable had always been a specialty of seniors. The seniors were the veterans of the school and enjoyed certain rights because of this. They be- came involved in circles of friends who would of- ten go to any ends just to be noticed. The seniors dressed up, dressed down, and just dressed plain weird. They tried to get the most unique haircuts, or wear extraordinary costumes for Halloweeng each senior was noticeable for one reason or an- other. Some of these reasons were good, such as exhibiting talent, and some were not good, such as being boisterous or rude. Whichever the case, the ability of seniors to be noticeable was certainly unquestionable. On Halloween, 'Hope Zieminski enjoyed being noticed as Captain Kidd. But, not only on Hallow- een did seniors try to catch the attention of others. New hairdos and wild outfits were starters as eye- catchers. Other seniors simply came out of their shells and blossomed! ie W - Y - f tr. Wt.-L,f,-a. . xx' ' -'f , ., f.,:1::rz-mrrxacummu MXSFNIORS Peter D. We re so exci ted! XCITABLEl By their senior year, seniors had plenty of reasons to get excited. It was their last year of high school, and graduation loomed deep in the shadows, yet seemed so close. Senioritis , a word equal to excitable, seemed to set in as early as Christmas for quite a few seniors. The class of 1986 had a great deal of ener- gy and it showed throughout their senior year. This energy came through powerfully with each event at Southington High - everything from proms, Hat and Clash Days, and Halloween to such smaller events as flower sales or setting up for a dance. Members of the senior class demonstrated their pep and excitability in the above picture during the class of 1986's Junior Show in March of 1985. Patrick Murphy, a crowd controller, had to hold back Michael Lamarre and other die-hard Village People fans from Walter Swanson and Doug Kol- pak, members of the Village People. .1.1.i--nxL,,-,.J, ma, ,W , l 'E Q Pl
