-'Hit' reiiections of T creativity For those students who drift toward the more imaginative and creative outlets in life, there are many creative opportunities in the Music and Art Departments. The Art Department offers a variety of ways to let off cre- ative steam which builds up in the more straight-laced courses. Courses range from pottery to draw- ing and painting to design and pho- tography, as well as advanced classes for the more serious artist. The Music curriculum, too, allows an opening for creative flow from Mixed Chorus or Concert Choir to playing an instrument in the band either Con- cert, Marching, or Stage. For the more serious musician there is also an indepth Music Theory class. Many of the other departments also provide creative outlets. The English Department offers Drama and Cre- ative Writing for imaginative students to pursue. The Home Economics De- partment provides students with courses such as Creative Clothing. Creativity and imagination are en- couraged in every department to be nurtured by the student even after he leaves high school. A creative mind is an active one! Nz.
