A group of trite phrases? Or a genuine expression of deep emotion? Merely a melody to be hummed and ignored? Or a theme to be used for inspiration in future life? We, the editors of the '65 Chronicle, think of it as a theme, a genuine expression of emotion and one which we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. In life, rugged mountains surround all of us. Whether they are physical or figurative, they exist in hard reality and they must be surmounted. Our entire lives are dominated by prob- lems, mental, physical, and spiritual, which must be solved be- fore we can succeed or even exist in this world. For the past four years, we have been prepared for our various tasks in life. Our hopes, our fears, our desires, and our ambitions have been shaped and forged to form the tools we will need in the future. We have been given truth and courage. Standards have been set which We must strive to meet. But the greatest gift has been the gift of knowledge. We have been given the knowledge to help us climb our mountains and now we must go on to reach the summit, if only to repay those who have had faith in us. 5

Dedication MR. ARTHUR O'BRASKY . For your time and patience as you guided us through the sundry trials and numerous difhculties of our first three years of high school. . For your time and patience as you played the difficult role of teacher, advisor, and friend. . For your time and patience as you taught us to make all of our problems little problems, and all of our successes, magnificent. . For your time and patience as you sought to mediate our differences, stir us from our complacency, and maintain among us a strong unity flavored with healthy differences. . For your time and patience, Mr. Michael Patkoske, we dedicate to you our yearbook. To a man who graciously responded to our call, when we most needed guidance and encouragement. To a man who understands and exemplihes the true meaning of devotion and dedication. To a man who gives unstintingly of his all to the careful molding of hundreds of young lives. To a man who embodies all of the fine attributes of a dynamic and effective teacher. To a man for whom the faculty, parents, townspeople, and students alike, hold deep reverence and unsurmountable respect. Yes, to you, Mr. Arthur M. O'Brasky, we proudly dedicate this our 1965 Chronicle MR. MICHAEL PATKOSKE
