g'1?g.L,j7,':Q'1:- V ' r , ' Wf'-L :.- --r L I .. .4 .:,fwvs..aulz'i'.?.x.t.f JOHN NF. KENNEDY In Memoriam Life in the United States of America goes on this morning. But there is something wrong. Our friend, our leader, our Presi- dent, is dead. He was admired. He was respected. And now he is no more. His courage was undeniable, his love of country came to be expressed in dedicated words and deeds. john F. Kennedy be- longed to all of us. No one, nothing, is the same anymore-he's gone. Our people had faith in this man, faith enough to place our country in his hands. He responded with greatness, a greatness cut short by tragedy. His place in history has been achieved forever. The murder, insidious crime that it was, will live in infamy. His death is the nation's loss, the World's loss, our loss. From us passes a leader of democratc ideals. President john F. Kennedy fought for and defended liberty, and as it is be- coming increasingly clear-died for it. There were those who opposed him, who never shared his vision-but there were those who loved him, and admired him, and believed in him. john F. Kennedy, the man, is dead. But his legend will go on as long as free men live. EDITOR THE EMBLEM November 26, 1965 And so, my fellow Anzerican: ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country . . . With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the jinal judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His hlessing and His help, hut knowing that here on earth God's works must truly he our own. From President Kennedy's Inaugural Address, january 20, 1961 3 - f ..t...n-.-....f.,p 1 ' , . B ,H ,r,,
