OctoberfStudent Council convenes with junior representatives Fran Wendt, Andy Meade, Maggie O'Hala, Stephanie Hartshotn, Arlene LePage, Jackie Del.age, and Andrean Tacinelli. All the bums turn out for the Halloween Bums Ball, What fun the night before on our Pumpkin Raid! Who got hit in the ear with beebee? November--Blue Knights end up undefeated by shellacking Meriden High 47-0. Andy Meade and Corky Cassella named co-captains for 1956 Season. December-Vfhat a wonderful night. Moonlight Mist -dancing to the music of jimmy Azzolino. Our hrst prom, a huge success. February-The six members of the Junior Recital were Nat Florian, Andy Meade, Larry Orvis, Maggie O'Hala, Frances Wfendt, and Rhoda Prescher. The two winners were Larry Orvis and Franny Wendt. Pages at the Valentine Dance are joe Woodman and Cindy Nagle. Tweet and Andy named co-captains of 1956 Basketball Team. U April-Bring back those Minstrel Days. What a terrific show. Nat as interlocuzorr with End Men john and Vic, john Anderson, Bob Pilot, Bob Nash, Freddie, and Andy all did a swell job. May-Fran and Gail elected co-captains of the Cheerleaders. Betty Snow wins DAR History Prize. Alphonse and Arlene chosen co-editors of Chronicle, Carol Heise named an Emblem editor, and Betty Snow assumed editorship of Crusader. juniors inducted into Honor Society: Al D'Angelo, Nat Florian, Rhoda Prescher, Fran Wendt, Gail Schumann, Stephanie Hartshorne, Maryann Griffith, Carol Heise, Betty Snow, joan Per- lot, Dolores Perlot, Maryann Walonoski, Rosalie Pizzitola, Mary Ann LaPorte, and Nancy Porter. Representatives to Boys' State were Al D'Angelo, and Nat Florian. Nancy Porter and Rosalie Pizzitola attended Girls' State. SENIOR YEAR - 1956 September-Al D'Angelo, Pres., Andy Meade, Veep, Fran Wendt, Secretary, and Maggie O'Hala, Treasurer. We welcome the Freshmen!! Well-we did a real good job. 355 worth of fun? and all that publicity. What ever happened to the Peach Drive. December- Curtain Going Up at Hatton School. A hilarious comedy well-staged by Maggie O'Hala, Rhoda Prescher, Carol Heise, Robert Zobbi, Al D'Angelo, john Anderson, John DiNello, Bob Nash, Fred Kuhr, David Gardner, Estelle Sabatella, Arlene LePage, Gail Dix, Maureen Butler, Meredith Mauch, Andrean Tacinelli, and jacki Delage. january-Betty Snow received DAR Award for good citizenship, scholarship, and leadership. February-Basketball team becomes CVC League Champs. Claudette and jimmy elected King and Queen of the Valentine Dance. Big Senior Party at Hogan s in Water- bury. Thanks Mr. Robinson for a wonderful evening. March-Top Twelve announced: Rhoda Prescher, Valedictoriang Betty Snow, Salutatoriang Alphonse D'Angelo, Frances Wendt, jane Clark, Dolores Perlot, Carol Heise, Maryann Griffith, Mary Ann LaPorte, Arlene LePage, Stephanie Hartshorne, and Florence Maiorano. May-The Most Wonderful Night of the Year is the night of our Senior Prom. A climax to our Senior year. june--After our Class Night that was quite a night comes Graduation. The ending to four wonderful years. Years of laughter, tears, heartaches, and surprises. No matter what the future may hold in store for us, we will all remember with fond memories those days at S.H.S. and all the friends we left behind. Thanks to Mr. Florie for being so patient. 13
