It was just ten years ago to- night that we were here at the Waverly Inn for Our Class Night festivities. Gazing around the room we see so many familiar faces . . . let's walk around and reminisce with some of our old class mates . . . Why here's the President of our class of '55 . . . Hi Zukie,'! We hear you're be- coming quite the Politician, now running for Mayor of Southington! Sitting next to him we find Yogi Fiondella, Vice President of our class. In the past few years Yogi has become a successful businessman. And here's Ann Carmody, our Secretary. Ann, with her radiant smile, has been posing for tooth paste ads! Well, here comes our class Treasurer, jim Salzillo. I hear he's broken many records on the track. Now we see Betty Ann Zdunczyk, editor in chief of the Southington News, and Bob Mitchell, Minister, looking over their prize possession . . . the Chronicle of '55. Sitting next to Bob we find Margie Schabel, his organist. Marge tells me she's started raising her family of fifteen kids. Hi Ray! CThorpeD . . . I hear you're head coach at Notre Dame! For our enter- tainment tonight we have a special attraction . . . the famous Dixieland Band, currently playing in a small cafe in Greenwich Village. The band consists of Bernie Buteau, trombone, Dick Landino, sax, Skitch, drums, Bob Tarantino, tuba, Don Clark, trum- pet, A1 Sarvi, piano, and last but not least, Shep , clarinet. As we wander through the crowd we run into Eileen and Joe Lombardo. Eileen tells me she's been using her nurse's training while taking care of Joe's pitching arm. What's this?!! Oh, just Bunny Terry surrounded, as usual, by a group of fe- males. But this time they are nurses: jean Del Santo, Nancy Oberempt, Marie Mon- tana, Barbara Ogonoski, Rachel Taylor, and Maggie Wilkeyson. It seems that Bunny broke his leg in the Army-Navy football game. Here sits David Skelskey, he has just finished his latest book entitled How to Ob- tain Perfectionf' We will always remember David as the brilliant Valedictorian of our class. This looks like the engineers' convention . .. . we see Beansy Binkowski, Foof Le Page, Bernie Gallant, Rex Klopfenstein, Dave Lachelt, and Eddie Masthay. My, how stylish Frances Cano looks! She's a famous model in New York. Seated near Frances we find Dot Coukos, Mary Ellen Ferrucci, Bobbi Wink, and Gretchen Wiegand . . . all talking a mile a minute. From the conversation we gather that Bobbi and Gretchen are career girls, Bobbi being a famous interior decorator in Boston, and Gretchen being an up and coming research chemist. Dot and Mary Ellen, on the other hand, have given up their respective careers of physical therapy and nursing to settle down and raise their families. Flash cameras are going off a mile a minute around here. Our shutterbugs are Paul Brunelli, John Busher, and Joe Maruzo. Rosemarie Aldi is now a vocalist with a famous name band in Hollywood. Also singing we find Barbara Kitchen . . .. oh, she's a nurse, too. Here come the farmers! Larry Johnson, Henry Deschenes, Leon Kozlowski, Burt Montague, Roger Smedberg, Ernie Krulikowski, Byron Niles, and Pat Paul Cchickensj Why there's Marian Furrow. We often hear her pleasant voice when we make 38 a telephone call . . . she's head operator in Meriden. Joan Goggin is teaching arts and crafts at the high school, while Bente Sivertsen is the girls' physical education instructor. Now we see Ralph Smith, editor of Southington's new paper, The Daily Herald. He's looking over the first edition of The Crusader. There's Phil Doran, he recently broke the record for the American Four Minute Mile. Congratulations, Phil! We hear that Tommy Simone is the president of Simone Brothers, Inc. Joyce Si- mone takes dictation from her cousin. Others in her profession are: Jo Ann Marotto, Pat Giano, Pat Folcik, Gerry Rungi, Gail Andrews, Ann Cassella, Johanne Donia, Dolores Wilbur, Sarah King, Carol Deckert, Betty Sacheck, Josephine Rossitto, and Marie De- Paolo. Marie and Gail also raise horses as a hobby. Here we find Muriel Gliddenf . . I'm told she runs a jewelry store, specializing in diamonds. Willie Coppola is in the money, he owns the biggest doughnut factory in the United States! The gals with the beautiful hair are Ann Swain and Maxine Limmer, co-owners of Ye Olde Beauty Shoppe. As new managers of the combination A 81 P-First Na- tional Store we have Rudy Zadnik, Lennie Seitz, Harry Ursone and Dick Martin. Dick Daly and Barbara Peters are doing well with their dry-cleaning business. Scattered throughout the room, uniforms of our Armed Forces can be seen. Wear- ing the Navy blue are Dom Perry, Babe Dorsey, and Paul Barry. Others in uniform are Tony Falco, Pete Landino, Frank Romajas, Charlie Webster, Ron Dahlgren, Donny Grimaldi, and Donny Moore. The newest sensation on Broadway is Rog Billy Wood. He's starring in a great play . . . Come Out of Your Comedy ! Finny Florian is manager of Florian Products, Inc. and he's making scads of money! Why there's Eddie Nardi, star of the Celtics, and Joe Llodra, Bronco Palmieri, Jerry Clements, and Tom Kirkland . . .. tremendous players on the Los Angeles Rams. We find Mary Ann Wagenbrenner getting things started on the dance floor by teaching all the latest steps to everyone. Mary Ann runs her own social dancing school. Joyce Grover has an interesting profession, she is a veterinarian. The sensational Mauro twins are playing for the New York Yankees, Bazooka Smulski plays center field for the same team. Carpenters by profession are Doran Deckert and Brad Anderson. There's Al Ingri- selli . . . he has just opened the Ingriselli Taxi Serivcef' The two important looking gals in the corner are Pat Gugliotti and Peggy Gri- maldi, both medical technicians. Also we find the housewives, Selah Hamlin, Lucille Moore, Judy Morelli, Jane Potter, Carol Rider and Blanche Skene. And last but not least we see Al Angiletta, clowning around as usual. Al is a big celebrity on T.V. now . . . star of his own show . . . People ARE Crazy !! Well, guess we've seen just about everybody. It's been grand fun going around to find out how all of our classmates have progressed in the last ten years. Probably on Graduation Day most of us would never have thought we would be where we are to- day.
